Creating an icon

Iconography is a crucial part of any design system or digital experience. These language independent symbols can be used for navigating, signposting and can help to build meaningful associations to complex or abstract ideas. In this project, I was tasked to create a set of 10 icons that represented different modules of thinking. I initially made flat icons, I then elevated them even further by creating a juxtaposition between materials, pairing fragile glass with hard plastic. Introducing depth, emphasise was created with colour use, lighting and material tactility.
