Digital Dash

Helping kids get fit for a digital future

With schools now closed due to covid-19 and many parents adapting to working from home, there was an opportunity for BT to create something helpful for families in these unprecedented times. Our solution was to create an engaging educational game, that introduces kids to the digital skills involved in computational thinking.

Extending the brand for a new audience

One of the design challenges was to create a visual identity that appeals to kids whilst retaining the integrity of the BT brand. We did this by introducing new graphic elements, colourful avatar designs and a new bespoke logo based on BT’s brand typeface.

An introduction to computational thinking

Kids create and train their own avatar and tinker around with attributes that can affect their physical and mental health. Throughout the game, they’ll learn aspects of computational thinking by exploring cause and effect and analyse how their actions impact the performance of their avatar.
